Description\n
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an outpatient imaging center, requiring ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certification with 1+ years of experience.
Details\n
- \n
- Outpatient imaging center setting with mostly mobile patients, many seen for follow-up cancer diagnosis
- Performs IV starts, I-stat lab draws, contrast injection, and image post-processing
- Preferred experience with neonates and infants
- Required X-ray experience includes extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head/chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, and lower/upper extremities
- Preferred experience with fluoroscopy and enema studies
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays and no Sundays
- May float within scope to provide X-ray coverage as needed
- No on-call requirements

Requirements\n

- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience required
- BLS, ARRT (R), and ARRT (CT) certifications required
- Fluoro Permit preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Valid state license required if applicable
- Experience with abdomen/pelvis CT with and/or without contrast
- Experience with chest, head, and neck CT with and/or without contrast
- Experience with cervical, lumbar, and thoracic spine imaging and musculoskeletal trauma
- Preferred experience with brain perfusion, CT colonography, CT arthrography, and vascular CTA
- Experience with GE and Siemens equipment and PACS systems preferred
- Experience with contrast media preparation/administration, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture

- Located in a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma acute care hospital recognized as a top hospital in Alaska
- Scrubs provided
- Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
- First-time travelers accepted
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Local candidates are not accepted
- Only one time-off request permitted per 13-week assignment, approved individually upon offer
- Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler, and must reside outside the 50-mile radius
- Travelers may be floated within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
- Maximum assignment length at this facility is 1 calendar year, followed by a required 6-month break before returning
- Facility accepts only Hepatitis B vaccination records, not titers or declinations
