About Glitter & Glow

Glitter & Glow is a new, upscale party and celebration venue in West Los Angeles, created especially for girls ages 4–10. Thoughtfully designed with young girls in mind, our one-of-a-kind experience brings together glamorous beauty activities, hands-on creativity, photos, music, dancing, karaoke, and all the excitement of a birthday celebration in one beautiful, high-energy space. Every detail is designed to feel fun, special, and a little bit magical—giving children an unforgettable birthday and parents a polished, stress-free experience they can truly enjoy.

We are building our founding team and looking for dependable, energetic people who want to help shape the Glitter & Glow experience from the beginning.

About the Role

The Party Experience Lead is the face of Glitter & Glow on party days and serves as the on-site leader for the entire celebration.

This person owns the guest experience from arrival through farewell. They welcome families, lead the party run-of-show, keep children engaged, communicate confidently with parents, direct the Glam Team and Party Runner, and ensure every celebration feels organized, exciting, and special.

This is a highly visible leadership position where reliability, punctuality, preparation, judgment, and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the manager-on-duty and direct the Glam Team and Party Runner.
  • Review the party plan and lead a pre-party team briefing.
  • Confirm that activity areas, supplies, equipment, and guest spaces are ready.
  • Welcome families, manage guest check-in, and review required waivers and allergy information.
  • Explain the party flow and answer parent questions.
  • Use a microphone when appropriate to lead introductions, announcements, games, karaoke, dancing, transitions, and celebration moments.
  • Maintain the party schedule while adjusting calmly to children’s needs and unexpected situations.
  • Create a welcoming, upbeat, and inclusive atmosphere for every child.
  • Redirect behavior positively and provide active supervision throughout the celebration.
  • Operate music, karaoke, lighting, and other party equipment.
  • Handle routine parent concerns and approve limited accommodations, complimentary items, or service recovery within established guidelines.
  • Escalate injuries, safety concerns, refunds, and serious guest complaints to the owner.
  • Follow all child-safety, allergy, sanitation, emergency, photography, incident-reporting, and check-in/check-out procedures.
  • Assist with preparation, cleaning, and resetting between parties.
  • Open or close the venue and complete required checklists when assigned.

Schedule

Regular availability on both Saturday and Sunday is required. The Party Experience Lead should generally expect to remain onsite from preparation for the first party through the final reset.

Party schedules vary and may include two or three parties in one day. All scheduled time onsite is paid, including time between parties used for breaks, preparation, and resetting. Specific weekly hours are based on bookings and cannot be guaranteed.

Some availability for parties held during school holidays may also be required. Schedules are generally provided approximately one week in advance.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 18 years old.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children.
  • Experience may come from childcare, camps, education, recreation, hospitality, events, theater, dance, coaching, or related work.
  • Outgoing, confident, and comfortable speaking to groups.
  • Able to connect naturally with children while communicating professionally with adults.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Exceptionally dependable, punctual, prepared, and attentive to detail.
  • Able to remain calm, friendly, and solutions-oriented in a busy environment.
  • Available to work Saturdays and Sundays consistently.
  • Willing to complete paid child-safety training and a legally compliant background screening.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification—or willingness to obtain employer-paid certification before serving as the party lead.
  • Professional references who can speak to dependability and experience with children.

Preferred Qualifications

Based on business needs, availability, and performance, strong team members may be offered additional paid weekday responsibilities such as scheduling support, social-media assistance, and operational projects. Additional responsibilities and hours are not guaranteed.

  • Previous party-hosting or event-leadership experience.
  • Experience supervising or directing a small team.
  • Scheduling, administrative, or social-media experience.
  • Familiarity with music, karaoke, crafts, dance, or children’s entertainment.

Physical Requirements

The essential functions of this position may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation. The role may require lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds; bending, kneeling, sitting on the floor, using a step stool, dancing, and remaining active throughout an extended shift.

Appearance

Team members should bring a fun, expressive, age-appropriate personal style that fits Glitter & Glow’s colorful, celebratory environment. Employees wear a provided Glitter & Glow apron with safe, activity-appropriate clothing and footwear.

Position Details

  • Compensation: $30–$35 per hour, based on relevant experience.
  • Employment type: Part-time, non-exempt W-2 employee.
  • Location: West Los Angeles, near Olympic Boulevard and Westwood Boulevard.
  • Required training, meetings, preparation, and cleanup time are paid.
  • Tips are not part of the position’s compensation.
