Description\n
American Traveler is hiring an X-Ray Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of X-Ray experience and ARRT certification.

- Work in the Imaging department of a 288-bed tertiary teaching hospital with a Level II Trauma Center designation
- Afternoon shift, 5x8-hour shifts per week totaling 40 hours
- Every other weekend required
- Possible on-call requirements
- Uses Cerner EMR

Requirements\n
- \n
- Minimum 2 years of X-Ray experience required
- BLS and ARRT certification required
- License required if applicable
- Traveler experience preferred

Additional Information\n
- \n
- Set up, monitor, and operate diagnostic imaging equipment for patient procedures
- Position and transfer patients using proper safety and lifting techniques
- Obtain patient history and screen for allergies prior to procedures
- Prepare and administer contrast media intravenously as protocolled by Radiologist
- Maintain image quality and perform daily equipment calibration and quality control
- Assist Radiologists and physicians with specialized radiological procedures
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond to emergencies including basic CPR
- Maintain cleanliness of work environment and department supply inventory
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Candidates living within 35 miles of the facility are considered local travelers with adjusted pay rate
- No more than 5 days of requested time off during the assignment
- First-time travelers may be considered
