Title: Corporate Communications Intern
Location: Louisiana
Position Summary
Bollinger Shipyards is seeking a motivated and creative Communications Intern to support the company’s internal and external communications efforts during the 2027 summer internship program.
This position will provide hands-on experience in corporate communications within a dynamic, growing organization. The intern will work alongside the communications team to organize company collateral, support external communications and public relations activities, aid in content creation for digital and social channels, and assist with company events and special communications projects.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer and communicator who is curious, organized, creative, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and interested in learning how communications supports business strategy, culture, and reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and preparing communications, announcements, newsletters, and leadership messages.
- Support communications related to company initiatives, programs, events, milestones, and organizational updates.
- Help draft, edit, proofread, and format communications for different audiences.
- Support internal communications channels, including email, digital platforms, presentations, and other employee-facing materials.
- Assist with coordinating employee stories, photos, and content that highlight Bollinger employees, teams, and accomplishments.
- Support research and preparation for media opportunities, industry events, and company announcements.
- Help maintain an organized library/archive of communications materials, photos, videos, and other assets.
- Collaborate with HR, Government Affairs, Operations, Talent Acquisition, and other functions on communications needs.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized and able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with social media, graphic design, video, or digital communications platforms is a plus.
This internship offers valuable hands-on experience with our environmental group, allowing students to develop industry-relevant skills, expand their professional network, and contribute meaningfully to Bollinger’s HSE department.
