Job Description

About Organizing NJ

Organizing NJ transforms homes for busy, discerning clients across New Jersey and the greater tri-state area. Every project — from a custom closet in a multi-million dollar home to a basement nobody’s touched in a decade — gets the same standard of care, professionalism, and attention to detail.

The Role

We’re looking for a reliable, polished Organizing Assistant to support our team on client projects. This is a hands-on, physical role — sorting, folding, labeling, and placing items under direction. We invest in our team: strong performers have a real path to grow into a Certified Organizer, with additional training, responsibility, and pay as they go.

What You’ll Do

  • Sort, declutter, and categorize items in closets, kitchens, pantries, bedrooms, garages, and storage areas
  • Fold, arrange, and place items according to the plan
  • Assist with packing and unpacking during moves and home transitions
  • Handle and label bins, baskets, and storage products
  • Maintain a clean, calm, professional presence throughout every project
  • Take before-and-after photos when directed
  • Assist with social media content capture when appropriate

What We’re Looking For

  • Reliable and punctual, takes direction well
  • Polished and professional, comfortable in clients’ homes during stressful transitions
  • Comfortable on camera and with social media — we regularly capture photos, stories, and reels on-site
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for 4-6 hours
  • Reliable personal vehicle and clean driving record
  • Lives within 25-45 minutes of Princeton, NJ
  • Willing to pass a background check
  • Available weekdays, with some Saturday availability

Compensation & Growth

$20-23/hour to start. As you grow with us, there’s a clear path toward certification and advancement into a Certified Organizer role, with increased pay and responsibility.
