Job Description

Job DescriptionCustomer Success Manager (Automotive SaaS)

MOTO(acquire) | Chicago, IL (In Office, Downtown above Union Station) | Full Time | $65,000 to $90,000

About MOTO(acquire)

MOTO(acquire) helps car dealerships buy more used vehicles directly from consumers. Our platform turns a dealer's website, customer database, service drive, and social media into acquisition channels:

  • MOTO(convert): website trade tool with instant valuations, firm offer requests, and monthly value tracking
  • MOTO(retain): sends past sales and service customers their vehicle's value every month
  • MOTO(drive): service drive acquisition that uses DMS data and automated texts to find and buy cars already in the shop
  • MOTO(social): gives every salesperson and creator their own link, with leads attributed in the CRM

We work with hundreds of dealerships across the country, from single rooftops to large dealer groups, and we're an approved vendor in the Stellantis dealer program. We're a small, fast-moving team, so your work will show up right away in dealer results and in how the company grows.

The Role

We're hiring a Customer Success Manager to own the relationship with our dealer partners after the sale. You'll onboard new rooftops, make sure every dealer gets real value from MOTO(acquire), and catch problems before they turn into churn. You'll be the person dealers call when they need help, and the person who calls them first when the numbers say something is off.

You'll report directly to our CEO and work side by side with our sales team and engineers in our Chicago office. You'll also help us build the future of customer success at MOTO(acquire). We're building AI-assisted tools to monitor accounts, queue up outreach, and support dealers at scale, and we want you shaping how they work.

What You'll Do

  • Own a book of dealer accounts and keep regular contact with every partner, including GMs, GSMs, used car managers, service directors, and BDC managers
  • Build relationships with corporate leadership at dealer groups, including directors of used cars, fixed ops, digital, and operations, and keep MOTO(acquire) running smoothly across all of their rooftops
  • Run onboarding and go-live calls for new rooftops: product walkthroughs, settings reviews, customer text reviews, testing, and launch
  • Launch and support MOTO(drive) on the service drive, working with dealers to turn service customers into vehicle acquisitions
  • Review dealer websites, lead flow, and performance data to spot problems early and suggest improvements
  • Run regular performance reviews with dealers and dealer group leadership that show the vehicles, leads, and results MOTO(acquire) is delivering
  • Track account health, usage, and customer contacts in HubSpot
  • Help design and roll out AI-assisted customer success workflows, from automated account monitoring to AI-drafted dealer outreach
  • Troubleshoot issues with dealers and work with our engineering team to get them fixed fast
  • Find expansion opportunities (more rooftops, more products) and partner with sales to close them
  • Feed what you hear from dealers back to product so we keep building the right things
  • Represent MOTO(acquire) at NADA and on occasional visits to larger dealer groups

What We're Looking For

Must haves

  • 2+ years in customer success, account management, or support at an automotive software company, OR 2+ years working in a car dealership
  • Confident on the phone, on video calls, and in person with dealership leadership and dealer group executives
  • Organized enough to manage a large book of accounts without anything slipping
  • AI-minded: you already use tools like ChatGPT or Claude or Claude Code in your work, and you're excited to build smarter ways to support customers
  • Comfortable with technology and quick to learn new tools
  • A sense of urgency. Dealers move fast and expect the same from their vendors.
  • Able to work in person at our downtown Chicago office five days a week
  • Able to travel occasionally for NADA and dealer group visits

Huge plus

  • Service acquisition experience: service drive equity mining, service-to-sales, or buying cars from service customers
  • Experience in used car acquisition, appraisals, or trade-in tools
  • Experience working with dealer groups or OEM programs
  • Familiarity with dealership systems such as CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, Tekion, vAuto, or dealer CRMs
  • Experience with HubSpot or another CRM
  • Experience building automations, prompts, or workflows with AI tools

Why MOTO(acquire)

  • Report directly to the CEO and have real influence on the product and the company's direction
  • Help build an AI-first customer success function from the ground up
  • Work with hundreds of dealerships and some of the largest dealer groups in the country
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Downtown Chicago office above Union Station, easy to reach by Metra, Amtrak, and the CTA

Compensation

$65,000 to $90,000 base salary, depending on experience.

Location

222 S. Riverside Plaza, Chicago, IL 60606. This is an in-person role, five days a week.
