Located in the heart of downtown White Center, Bricks & Minifigs South Seattle is a specialty toy retailer focused on buying, selling, and trading all things LEGO, including new & used sets, minifigures, bulk pieces, and community events. Our mission is to celebrate creativity, play, and community; from kids discovering their first joy of building with LEGO to collectors tracking down that rare piece.

We are seeking an energetic, friendly, and detail-oriented Sales Associate to join our team. Prior LEGO knowledge and familiarity with sets and minifigures is strongly recommended so you can jump right into helping our passion-driven customers!

As a Sales Associate, you will be the face of our store, creating a joyful, welcoming environment for builders of all ages, helping with social media posts, and keeping the store organized, stocked, and running smoothly.


Pay & Benefits:

  • Pay: $20.00 – $21.50 per hour
  • Position type: Hourly position, expected hours: 10 – 20 per week

Responsibilities

  • Provide welcoming, attentive customer service to every guest, helping families, hobbyists, and collectors find what they need.
  • Operate the POS register for sales and trade credits accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist in processing incoming LEGO inventory, including sorting bulk bricks, cleaning pre-owned sets, and assembling/inspecting minifigures.
  • Maintain store presentation, keeping bulk tables organized, display cases clean, and shelves fully stocked.
  • Help create fun, creative photos or short videos for store social media updates.
  • Assist with hosting and running in-store events, including children’s birthday parties, build contests, and community workshops.
  • Answer customer phone calls and questions regarding current inventory, store policies, and trading procedures.


Day-to-day tasks can include:

  • Welcoming customers as they enter and answering questions about products and trade policies.
  • Running register transactions and wrapping/packaging purchases.
  • Taking fun photos of new or rare LEGO builds for social media channels.
  • Sorting loose LEGO bricks by color, category, or type to keep bulk tables fresh and engaging.
  • Checking pre-owned sets for completeness and prepping items for the sales floor.
  • Restocking minifigure display cases and shelves.
  • Assisting with party area preparation, activity setup, and post-party cleanup.
  • Maintaining general store cleanliness, sweeping, and dusting display cases.


Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 1+ years of retail, customer service, or event hosting experience.
  • Strong LEGO knowledge and familiarity with popular themes and minifigures strongly recommended.
  • Friendly, approachable demeanor with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail (essential for sorting bricks, checking set completeness, and managing small parts).
  • Strong spoken and written English communication abilities, including interacting with guests, and handling phone inquiries.
  • Comfortable helping take photos or contributing ideas for store social media accounts.
  • Ability to multitask, stay productive during downtime, and work as part of a close-knit team.
  • Availability to work flexible part-time shifts, including weekends.


Additional Details

Anticipated Store Hours:

  • Monday – Wednesday: 11am – 7pm
  • Thursday – Friday: 11am – 8pm
  • Saturday: 10am – 8pm
  • Sunday: 12pm – 6pm
