Key Qualifications:

• Active special education teaching certification/licensure required for assigned caseload
• Bachelor’s degree necessary; essential for those applying with an emergency teaching permit
• Proven experience working within schools, preferably in urban settings
• Mastery of subject matter, strong instructional and classroom management skills, and expertise in delivering differentiated instruction
• Ability to create engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans and utilize formative assessments
• Detail-oriented and organized approach, with a commitment to meeting district and state guidelines
• Reliable transportation for on-site attendance; no remote or hybrid accommodations
• Availability to work full-time, 35 hours per week, on-site during the hours of 8:30AM-4:00PM
• Comfortable adapting to the culture and expectations of the district and location
• Completion of all required Pennsylvania clearances prior to start date

Role Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized learning experiences for students with diverse needs
• Maintain compliance with IEPs, district policies, and legal requirements
• Incorporate engaging, effective classroom management techniques to foster a positive learning environment
• Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff to promote student growth
• Use data-driven approaches to adjust instruction and support student progress
