Job Description
Social Media & Video Content Specialist
Cedar Rapids, IA (Hybrid) | Full-Time
Pay: $60,000–$75,000
Love being the person who plans the post, shoots the video, and sees it all the way to publishing? A locally owned marketing firm that works with a variety of growing businesses is hiring a Social Media & Video Content Specialist to bring its clients’ brands to life on social.
You’ll directly manage social media for 8–10 client accounts and help across a roster of 35+ clients. No two weeks look the same. One day you’re shooting on-site at a client’s business, the next you’re editing reels and building next month’s content calendar. If you’re a hands-on creator who’s also organized, this role gives you variety, real ownership, and a flexible hybrid schedule.
What You’ll Do
- Own social media for 8–10 client accounts, and support content across the firm’s full client roster
- Build monthly social media content calendars across multiple platforms
- Shoot photo and short-form video on-site at client locations, including reels, stories, behind-the-scenes, and event coverage
- Edit content and take ideas from concept to shoot, edit, and publish
- Monitor client social channels and keep each brand’s voice and look consistent
- Project-manage ongoing marketing projects and juggle multiple deadlines alongside the team
- Track performance and report on defined metrics
What You Bring
Required
- 2–3 years of experience planning and running social media for a business or organization
- A portfolio showing your social media content, including video and photography
- Strong project management and organizational skills
Preferred
- Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Express, etc.)
- Social media scheduling or analytics tools
Work Arrangement
Hybrid, based in Cedar Rapids. There’s no set in-office schedule, and you can work from home as needed, with regular on-site shoots at client locations.
