A specialty compounding pharmacy is seeking an experienced Staff Pharmacist to oversee fulfillment operations and ensure accurate, compliant dispensing of prescription orders. This role offers a 13-week contract to hire opportunity based in Kennett Square, PA, with a Monday through Friday schedule of 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM.
Key responsibilities include supervising fulfillment personnel during shifts, participating in the shipping and handling of prescription orders as needed, and ensuring all prescriptions meet prescriber and patient requirements. You will review and maintain patient medication histories, develop care plans to achieve therapeutic outcomes, and monitor drug therapy for appropriateness, interactions, and duplication. Patient counseling on prescription, OTC medications, and nutritional supplements is also a critical component of this position.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist license
- Minimum of 2 years of retail pharmacy experience
- New graduates with strong academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply
- Knowledge of proper pharmaceutical preparation, documentation, and legal compliance
