Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is ideal for a licensed pharmacist seeking to advance their career within a specialty compounding pharmacy setting. The role focuses on overseeing fulfillment staff and managing prescription operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and excellent patient care. The position is contract to hire, with an initial 13-week assignment, providing a pathway to potential long-term placement.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise fulfillment personnel and daily operations during assigned shifts.
- Participate in shipping and handling of prescription orders as needed.
- Ensure prescriptions are processed accurately, adhering to prescriber and patient requirements.
- Maintain compliance with pharmaceutical laws and proper documentation standards.
- Assess patient demographics and medication histories to provide informed care.
- Develop and monitor patient care and therapeutic plans, evaluating outcomes.
- Educate patients on drug therapies, including prescription, OTC medications, and supplements.
- Monitor drug regimens for dosage, interactions, therapeutic duplications, and appropriateness.
- Counsel patients to support safe and effective medication use.
Qualifications:
- Valid PA Pharmacist license.
- Minimum of 2 years retail pharmacy experience; newer graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Detail-oriented with strong communication and leadership skills.
- Commitment to delivering patient-centered pharmaceutical care.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday.
- 8-hour shifts within the hours of 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Location: Kennett Square, PA - in a specialty compounding pharmacy environment.
