OneSource Professional Search is partnering with a well-established Louisiana-based industrial equipment manufacturer to hire a Technical Publications Specialist in Kenner, Louisiana. This role combines technical writing, video production, and AI-assisted documentation to create SOPs, work instructions, training materials, and technical resources for manufacturing employees, service technicians, and customers.
Responsibilities

Capture and edit video of manufacturing, equipment operation, assembly, repair, and service processes.

Use AI-powered tools to create SOPs, work instructions, training guides, and technical documentation.

Create instructional videos and digital training materials.

Review and edit AI-generated content for technical accuracy, clarity, grammar, and consistency.

Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to verify technical content.

Maintain documentation, digital assets, and revision control.

Support employee training, onboarding, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; relevant Associate degree preferred.

2–4 years of experience in technical documentation, training, digital media, manufacturing support, or a related field.

Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and technical communication skills.

Strong computer aptitude and ability to learn new AI and digital documentation tools.

Video recording/editing experience or willingness to learn.

Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Manufacturing, and other technical teams.
This is an on-site role involving regular interaction with manufacturing and testing areas and occasional travel as needed.
