Job Summary
A well-established legal team in downtown Columbia, SC is seeking an experienced Title Paralegal for a full-time, direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional with title experience who enjoys managing documentation, supporting attorney review, and communicating with lenders, clients, vendors, and internal teams.
The Title Paralegal will play an important role in the real estate title and closing process by helping ensure title documentation is accurate, timely, and ready for attorney and lender review. Key Responsibilities
- Obtain title work from title abstractors and conduct an initial review of incoming title documentation.
- Prepare title commitments and organize supporting documents for attorney review.
- Prepare lender-related title documents, including tax certifications, insured closing letters, chains of title, and other required materials.
- Distribute title commitments and supporting documentation to lenders accurately and on time.
- Communicate professionally with attorneys, internal team members, clients, vendors, lenders, and business partners.
- Support team workflow, adapt to changing priorities, and complete additional title-related duties as assigned.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $50,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Job type: Direct hire.
- Schedule: Full-time, onsite, Monday through Friday.
- Location: Downtown Columbia, SC.
