Position Description: Are you passionate about plant care and excited to grow a career in the cannabis industry? DACUT is seeking dedicated Cultivation Technicians to join our professional grow team. This is a hands-on role in a high-quality, regulated cultivation environment where attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong work ethic are essential.About the RoleHands-on cultivation position in a state-licensed cannabis facility. You'll work directly with plants through their entire lifecycle—from clone to harvest—in a climate-controlled grow environment.What You'll Do:Daily Plant CareFeed, water, and prune plants according to strain-specific schedulesClone plants and transplant seedlingsMonitor and adjust environmental controls (humidity, temperature, lighting)Identify pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies; apply treatmentsHarvest, trim, and prepare plants for processingCompliance & DocumentationMaintain cultivation logs and facility mapsTrack all plant inventory in METRC (Michigan's seed-to-sale system)Follow standard operating procedures for sanitation and safetyAssist with state compliance auditsFacility MaintenanceClean and sanitize grow rooms, equipment, and workspacesMaintain irrigation systems and growing mediaReport equipment malfunctions and safety hazardsWhat You NeedRequired:21+ years old (state requirement for cannabis work)Ability to follow detailed instructions and SOPsComfortable with repetitive, detail-oriented tasksReliable transportation and punctual attendancePreferred:Previous experience in cannabis, horticulture, or agricultureKnowledge of plant nutrition, pest management, or hydroponicsFamiliarity with state cannabis regulationsCompensation & BenefitsStarting Pay: Based on experienceBenefits (after 90 days):Health, dental, and vision insuranceEmployee product discountsOpportunities for advancement into lead or specialist rolesWork EnvironmentClimate-controlled indoor grow facilityRotating shifts may be required during peak periodsExposure to organic pesticides, fertilizers, and plant allergens#Cult26 Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, push, and move up to 60 pounds regularly throughout scheduled shifts.Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach for extended periods while performing daily cultivation tasks.Comfortable working in hot, humid grow environments with temperatures ranging from approximately 75–85°ree;F and humidity levels between 60–70%.Ability to work under high-intensity grow lighting for extended periods of time.Must possess strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform detailed tasks such as trimming, transplanting, cloning, pruning, and plant maintenance.Comfortable performing repetitive, detail-oriented work throughout the workday while maintaining consistency and quality standards.Ability to operate cultivation tools, irrigation equipment, sprayers, trimming equipment, and other facility systems safely and effectively.Comfortable working around cannabis plants, fertilizers, organic pesticides, soil, growing media, dust, and strong plant odors.Ability to maintain focus, organization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced cultivation environment with strict compliance requirements.Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented cultivation setting.Ability to follow sanitation, safety, and compliance procedures precisely while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.Comfortable moving throughout multiple grow rooms and cultivation areas during the course of a shift.Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding plant health, equipment issues, and operational needs.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position. $16.00 - $19.00 Hourly
