Own the Technology, Media & Internet research product for top hedge funds

You’ll take the lead on building a best-in-class Technology, Media, and Internet (TMT) primary research product used by leading hedge funds and institutional investors.

This is your platform to design the strategy, own the P&L impact for TMT, and turn differentiated conversations with private company executives into the reports smart money actually reads.

You’ll lead associates, shape the roadmap, and drive both research depth and business growth.

What You'll Work On

You’ll build and scale the TMT sector franchise for a boutique, high-touch primary research platform:

• Technology industry subsectors
• Media industry subsectors
• Internet and digital platforms
• Primary research and expert conversations
• Sector strategy and product vision
• Proprietary expert network development
• Client-facing investment insights
• Internal data and tech initiatives

Your mandate: turn raw market conversations into differentiated, actionable TMT insights for elite investors.

What You'll Be Doing

• Build out and lead the Technology, Media, and Internet sector business
• Define and execute the strategy for a best-in-class TMT primary research product
• Lead and mentor a team of associates supporting the TMT franchise
• Research and map out industries, subsectors, and key TMT themes
• Speak daily with private company executives to surface trends and insights
• Synthesize conversations and data into written reports for institutional investors
• Deliver differentiated, actionable insights tailored to hedge fund and professional investment clients
• Drive recruiting initiatives to grow the firm’s proprietary expert network
• Train associates on research, writing, and investor-focused analysis
• Contribute to business development efforts across the TMT sector
• Work on data and technology initiatives tied to the research and expert network platform
• Manage and deepen relationships with existing institutional clients

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience in markets, investing, or related Wall Street-facing roles
• Deep relationships across Wall Street and institutional investors
• Strong subject matter interest in technology, media, and internet sectors
• Comfort and competence as a writer of professional, investor-grade research
• Genuine passion for markets, investing, and primary research
• Intellectual curiosity and a drive to build an exceptional product and business
• Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort owning a sector and its P&L impact
• Creative problem solver who enjoys mapping new spaces and finding angles others miss
