Enjoy a consistent Monday through Friday daytime routine with weekends off, earn $22.00/hr to start, and step straight into $25.00/hr once hired on permanently. Description for Sandblasting & Powder Coating Technician:
- Learn and execute all stages of commercial surface preparation and electrostatic powder application across structural, industrial, and custom metal parts.
- Safely operate abrasive blasting equipment, pressurized blast pots, recovery systems, and enclosed blast booths to strip scale, rust, and contaminants down to white metal.
- Apply uniform, mil-spec powder coatings to complex metal profiles, weldments, and assemblies using manual electrostatic spray guns and overhead conveyor lines.
- Carefully mask, tape, hang, and plug precision-machined holes, ground surfaces, and threaded components using high-temperature silicone plugs and tape.
- Monitor cure ovens, verify proper bake schedules, and inspect finished parts for mil thickness, adhesion, gloss, and defect-free finishes.
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, and maintain electrostatic guns, nozzles, fluidizing hoppers, hoses, and blast nozzles to ensure consistent application quality.
- Move, rack, hang, and stage fabricated components using overhead hoists, carts, and forklifts safely throughout the shop.
- Maintain clean, organized, and dust-controlled workstations aligned with facility safety protocols and 5S housekeeping standards.

- Pay Rate:
- Starting Pay: $22.00 / hour during evaluation period.
- Guaranteed Advance: Increases automatically to $25.00 / hour upon permanent hire!
- Schedule: Full-Time Monday – Friday (Guaranteed weekday routine with weekends completely OFF!).
- Shift Options:
- Option 1: 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Beat the traffic and wrap up your day early!).
- Option 2: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Standard daytime schedule).
- Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire career pathway with high long-term stability.
Requirements for Sandblasting & Powder Coating Technician:
- Work Ethic & Longevity: Verifiable employment history demonstrating reliable tenure and dependable longevity with prior employers.
- Aptitude & Coordination: Strong mechanical aptitude, steady hand-eye coordination, and an active interest in learning powder coating and media blasting techniques.
- Shop Exposure: Previous experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, automotive refinishing, wet spray painting, or machine operation is preferred but not required.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to work on your feet on concrete floors for an 8-hour shift, maneuver heavy metal components, wear full blast protective gear/hoods, and lift up to 50+ lbs unassisted.
- Exceptional history of prompt morning punctuality, consistent attendance, and reliable personal transportation.
