Job Description

Summary

The GovCon Engagement Lead keeps RiVidium visible, organized and running smoothly. You will own our marketing, plan and staff our GovCon events, and support the day-to-day business operations behind them.

This role blends creativity with structure. It includes regular after-hours networking events and industry gatherings, so it suits someone who brings good energy to a room and also loves a well-run calendar and checklist.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Brand

  • Manage RiVidium's LinkedIn and social channels, including posts, event recaps, contract-win and team announcements.
  • Create and maintain marketing collateral such as capability statements, one-pagers, presentations and booth materials, with consistent branding.
  • Run email campaigns and newsletters, and track engagement to show what is working.
  • Support the BD and proposal teams with graphics, formatting and quick-turn marketing requests.

GovCon Events & Community

  • Build and manage the annual GovCon events calendar of industry days, conferences, association meetings and networking nights.
  • Attend and represent RiVidium at events, including evenings, and capture contacts and follow-ups.
  • Plan RiVidium-hosted events such as client appreciation nights, partner meetups and booth activations.
  • Manage association memberships and sponsorships (e.g., AFCEA, ACT-IAC, AFFIRM, NDIA) and make full use of their benefits.
  • Handle logistics end to end: registrations, budgets, vendors, swag, booth setup and post-event reporting.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3?5 years in marketing, events, or a related role; government contracting experience is a strong plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with a polished, professional presence at events.
  • Hands-on experience with managing social media channels, content creation and using design tools (Canva or similar).
  • Excellent organization and project management, able to juggle events, deadlines and budgets at once.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and comfort learning new tools quickly.
  • Willingness to attend after-hours events and occasional travel.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with the GovCon community, industry associations and the federal events landscape.
  • Experience managing budgets, vendors or sponsorship packages.
  • Experience with CRM, project management or workspace tools such as HubSpot, Notion or Monday.
  • Experience coordinating professional events, including logistics, vendors and budgets.

Who You Are

  • Good energy. You bring warmth and momentum to every room, from a conference floor to a team meeting.
  • Organized to the core. Calendars, budgets and checklists are where you shine.
  • Creative and practical. You can design a great post and still hit the registration deadline.
  • A people person. You enjoy meeting new contacts and making them feel welcome.
  • A self-starter. You see what needs to happen and do it, with little hand-holding.

Work Model

  • Regular evening networking events and periodic conferences, with flexibility to balance the hours.
  • Local travel across the DC Metro area; occasional overnight travel for major conferences.

The annual salary range for this position is $60,000?$89,000.
