This full-time opportunity invites a skilled Occupational Therapist to make a significant impact throughout the academic year. With 35 hours per week secured and potential for overlap at an additional site, you’ll collaborate with dedicated educational teams and help students reach their fullest potential onsite.
Ideal candidates bring a passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning and thrive in diverse, urban school settings. Prior experience in a school-based occupational therapy role is essential, as is the ability to adapt practices to meet varied student needs.
Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license/certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- Demonstrated school-based occupational therapy experience
- Comfortable and effective working in urban educational settings
- Willingness to obtain all necessary Pennsylvania clearances
- Middle school experience strongly preferred
- No COTAs for this position
- Ability to manage multiple sites if required
- Must submit licensure details with application materials
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive OT services to middle school students, fostering increased independence and academic engagement
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate IEP goals and related services
- Utilize creative, individualized interventions to help students develop fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills
- Communicate effectively with staff and families to ensure student progress and well-being
- Maintain accurate service documentation and adhere to all professional and legal requirements
