Job description:
A respected nonprofit behavioral health organization in Monmouth County is welcoming a Registered Nurse to its outpatient adult clinic.
This isn’t a bedside or floor role. You’ll focus on care coordination, patient education, and supporting adults on their path to recovery, alongside psychiatric providers and a close-knit, supportive team. If you’ve been ready to step away from 12-hour shifts, this is worth a look!
What You’ll Do
- Educate patients and their families about medications, treatment plans, and wellness
- Administer injectable medications, including long-acting psychiatric injections
- Keep documentation accurate, complete, and on time
- Work with psychiatrists, therapists, and the wider treatment team to coordinate whole-person care
- Act as a liaison with pharmacies and help patients work through insurance and authorization questions
- Support adults living with mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and co-occurring diagnoses
- Coordinate with families, community agencies, and outside providers so patients’ needs are met
What You’ll Bring
- An active New Jersey Registered Nurse license
- A nursing degree from an accredited program
- Behavioral health, psychiatric, or substance use nursing experience is preferred, but not required
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach
Perks & Benefits
- A salary of $70,000–$80,000
- A Monday–Friday daytime schedule, with only an occasional rotating Saturday
