Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 9:30 PM – 8:00 AM
Schedule: Wednesday–Saturday | 4x10s | 40 Hours/Week | Weekends/Holidays Required | On-Call as Needed

Pay Rate
Local: $78.00 - $81.00/hour
Traveler: $80.00 - $85.00/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a CT Scan Technologist to perform complex CT procedures and related imaging while providing safe, accurate, and patient-centered care.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License
  • ARRT R.T.(R) certification
  • AHA BLS certification
  • ARRT CT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months
  • Strong knowledge of CT procedures, anatomy, physiology, and positioning
  • Knowledge of CT software and hardware
  • PACS experience
  • Contrast administration and CT patient-preparation experience
  • Venipuncture, IV patency, and IV maintenance experience
  • Ability to monitor patients for adverse reactions
  • English proficiency
  • Ability to meet physical requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months of CT experience
  • EPIC and HIS/RIS experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex CT procedures and produce sectional and 3D images
  • Review clinical history and establish appropriate CT protocols
  • Verify physician prescriptions and examination appropriateness
  • Clarify orders with radiologists and referring physicians
  • Prepare and document contrast questionnaires in EPIC
  • Determine and administer appropriate contrast media
  • Perform venipuncture and maintain IV access
  • Prepare patients using appropriate shielding and immobilization
  • Explain CT procedures and address patient concerns
  • Monitor patients and respond to adverse reactions
  • Review images in PACS for quality and proper identification
  • Coordinate outside imaging for comparison
  • Maintain accurate EPIC/PACS documentation
  • Follow CT protocols, radiation safety, and patient-safety standards
  • Participate in weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call assignments
