Talent Acquisition Manager for a boutique law firm in Washington DC

\n

Hybrid remote: 3 days/week in office

\n

Salary range: $90,000 - $120,000/year, exempt, salary depends on experience level.

\n

5+ years experience in full cycle recruiting required

\n

Full cycle recruiting for lawyers and professional staff

\n

Candidates must have full-cycle recruiting experience from professional services industry or law firm environment.

Seeking candidates with creative problem-solving to be an innovative change-driver in the recruiting function in a growing firm.

Responsibilities

\n

Sourcing, management of outside recruitment agencies, candidate management and recruitment strategy.

\n

Full cycle recruiting

\n

    \n
  • Oversee and execute lateral attorney and administrative/staff hiring
  • \n

  • Create and post job descriptions
  • \n

  • Screen applications and select qualified candidates.
  • \n

  • Schedule interviews; oversee preparation of interview questions, etc
  • \n

  • Manage candidate experience - provide timely communication, feedback, status
  • \n

  • Collaborate with HR to identify/recommend salary ranges, incentives, start dates, etc
  • \n

  • Partner with HR to align recruitment strategies
  • \n

  • Train hiring managers on effective interviewing techniques
  • \n

  • Use a variety of search methods (search firms, internal referrals, online research tools) to source candidates.
  • \n

  • Build relationships with recruitment agencies, alumni groups, bar associations, networking groups
  • \n

  • Manage talent acquisition budget: recruitment marketing, job postings, external partnerships.
  • \n

Onboarding

\n

    \n
  • Primary point of contact for new hires during their onboarding
  • \n

  • Prepare pre-boarding activities: background check, conflicts, reference checks.
  • \n

  • Collaborate with admin departments to facilitate equipment setup, training schedules.
  • \n

  • Schedule check-ins with new hires to assess their integration into the team, address concerns, and gather feedback on the onboarding experience.
  • \n

Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Bachelor's degree
  • \n

  • At least 5 years legal or professional services recruiting experience
  • \n

  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • \n

  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • \n

  • Proven ability to work independently and take initiative as a self-starter.
  • \n

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • \n

  • MSOffice Suite, Outlook, Zoom, and G-Suite scheduling tools
  • \n

  • Comfort with communicating with candidates on social media platforms such as LinkedIn
  • \n
