Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Active and current social work licensure in the state
- Previous experience supporting students within a school setting preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with students, families, and staff
- Compassionate, resourceful, and able to manage sensitive situations with discretion
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct counseling and support services to students facing social, emotional, or academic challenges
- Work collaboratively with teachers and administrators to identify student needs and implement effective intervention strategies
- Act as a liaison between families, outside agencies, and school staff to connect students and families to helpful resources
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized student support plans and programs
- Advocate for students and promote awareness around issues affecting their well-being and success
- Respond to crisis situations with effective problem-solving and emotional support
- Keep accurate, timely records and participate in relevant meetings and professional development opportunities
