Job DescriptionDescription:

About Pragmatic Institute

Pragmatic Institute provides product, marketing, and data training for professionals and organizations around the world. We help teams build better products and bring them to market more effectively through education, certifications, and practical resources.

About the Role

Your job is to get what Pragmatic Institute knows in front of the people who need it. You'll start with a strong base: instructors who have done product management and product marketing for a living, original research, and frameworks that product teams have used for decades. You'll turn that expertise into content product people trust and can find, in search results and in AI answers.

This role is a blend of content marketing and product marketing. You'll plan, write and edit content, and you'll help shape how we describe our courses, certifications and programs. You'll report to the Head of Marketing and you won't manage anyone. You'll do well here if:

  • You've done the job our customers do. You've worked as a product manager or product marketer. You can sit in on an instructor conversation, follow it, and spot what a practitioner would want to read next. You love to chat with customers and practice the principles that Pragmatic trains.
  • You run the AI. It doesn't run you. You use AI tools throughout your work to research, draft and repurpose faster. You're also the person who approves and polishes every piece, and you make sure Pragmatic's positioning comes through in everything we publish. You never put AI output in front of an instructor that you can't stand behind.
  • You know how content gets found now. You understand SEO and GEO and how large language models choose and cite sources, and you write for both.
  • You work well across teams. You're comfortable working with instructors, the product team that builds our courses, sales and the rest of marketing, and you keep work moving without needing authority over anyone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with instructors and senior leaders to turn webinars, panel discussions and recorded sessions into articles, guides, email content and other derived assets.
  • Draft LinkedIn posts for instructors to publish in their own voice, and hand them to our social media lead, who manages the LinkedIn channels.
  • Champion thought leadership for Pragmatic Institute, its leaders and its instructors, including bylined articles and the campaigns built around them.
  • Use research, including our own surveys and outside market data, to ground content in evidence, and turn findings into content product teams can use.
  • Build market intelligence for the company. Talk with customers and prospects, including NIHITO interviews, track competitors and market trends, and share what you learn with marketing, product, sales and senior leaders.
  • Partner with the product team and sales enablement to turn our courses, certifications and programs into commercially compelling go-to-market plans, including launch messaging, sales materials and the product copy on our course, certification and program pages.
  • Contribute to positioning, messaging and product architecture. The Head of Marketing owns positioning and messaging. You'll bring practitioner insight, write copy that applies it, and flag where it isn't landing.
  • Use our buyer personas and competitive research to make sure content speaks to the people who buy and take our courses.
  • Plan and optimize content for search engines and AI answer engines, including topic research, on-page optimization, and the structure that makes content easy to cite.
  • Run content audits and gap analyses, decide which topics are worth making based on search demand, instructor expertise and business goals, and keep the content calendar current.
  • Identify the content sales needs and help build it, so the sales team can speak to our full range of offerings.
  • Partner with sales, events, the product team and the rest of marketing so content supports what each team is working on.
  • Measure what you publish and use the results to decide what to make next.

WHAT WE BRING TO THE TABLE

Pragmatic Institute is the leading provider of product, marketing, and data training for professionals and organizations around the world. Our mission is to help teams build better products and bring them to market more effectively through industry-leading education, certifications, and resources.

We are a team of scrappy, driven collaborators working remotely across the U.S., united by a shared mission: to elevate the work of product, design, and data professionals everywhere. We punch above our weight, make decisions grounded in market reality, and operate with a bias for action. We offer generous time off, flexible scheduling, and a culture built on trust and transparency.

But enough about us. We want to hear about you. When you apply, include your resume and a few writing samples. If we move forward, you'll work through a short exercise built on one of our recorded instructor discussions and talk through your choices with the team. (Don't be afraid to brag. We want to hear all about why you'd be a great addition to this team.)

Requirements:

  • Contribute Hands-on experience as a product manager or product marketer (required)
  • 3+ years of content marketing experience; B2B preferred
  • Writing samples that show you can explain complex topics clearly
  • Working knowledge of SEO and of how LLMs and AI search tools select and cite content
  • Daily, practical use of AI tools in content work, and the judgment to rewrite or reject what they produce
  • Experience working with subject matter experts and turning what they know into content
  • Experience interviewing customers and prospects and turning what you hear into market insight
  • Ability to define content plans from business goals and customer insight, and to measure results against clear KPIs
  • Comfort working across teams without direct authority
  • Experience with HubSpot, WordPress or Semrush a plus
