This full-time contract opportunity offers 35 hours per week, with immediate openings available through June 10, 2027. With multiple positions open, you’ll have the chance to make a daily impact as a school-based paraprofessional, supporting learners across the K-12 spectrum.
Ideal candidates bring flexibility and resilience, thriving in a varied schedule between 7:15 AM and 4:00 PM depending on school site needs. Your role will be hands-on and deeply meaningful, providing 1:1 support for students with special needs—including assisting with toileting/diapering, managing challenging behaviors, and responding to students exhibiting elopement, kicking, or biting. Experience in school settings, particularly with SPED and behaviorally challenged students, is essential, and BT (Behavior Technician) candidates are also encouraged to apply.
Key Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- Must have or be willing to obtain current CPR certification
- Prior school-based experience
- Ability to obtain PA state clearances
- Reliable transportation and completed professional references
- Flexibility with caseloads and grade levels (K-12)
- Comfort working in urban school settings
- Ability to support students with a variety of needs, including toileting and challenging behaviors
