Job Summary
We are seeking a Customer Service/Sales professional for a long-term temporary opportunity in Pomona, CA within a manufacturing-related environment. This role is ideal for a customer-focused candidate who enjoys solving problems, supporting online orders, communicating with customers, and building toward a future sales path.
This position will begin with a strong focus on customer service, order support, product assistance, returns, and customer communication. After approximately 3 to 6 months, the role is expected to transition into a sales-focused position, initially managing existing accounts and later expanding into lead generation and new business development as the employee becomes more comfortable.
This is a great opportunity for someone with 1 to 2 years of experience who wants long-term stability, supportive training, and a clear path into sales. The team environment offers exposure to customer service, e-commerce support, account management, logistics coordination, and sales development, making it a strong fit for candidates looking to grow within a professional business setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming customer calls and emails, provide product support, resolve concerns, and assist with e-commerce portal questions.
- Process online orders through direct shopping cart sites, including order import, billing and shipping verification, fraud review, and out-of-stock follow-up.
- Issue and process RMA requests for dealers and end users related to merchandise returns or defective products.
- Recommend alternative products, accessory items, or additional purchases based on customer needs.
- Serve as the first point of contact for phone calls, visitors, and interview candidates, and route inquiries to the appropriate departments.
- Communicate customer requirements with shipping and logistics teams and assist with additional administrative or ad hoc duties as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $22 per hour.
- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- This is a long-term temporary position expected to last over one year.
- Possibility of permanent hire.
- Position is expected to transition into a sales role after approximately 3 to 6 months.
- Commission or other incentives may become available based on performance over time, but will not be offered immediately upon transitioning into the sales role.
