Large Format Digital Print Operator

Location: Fairfield, NJ
Employment Type: Full-Time / Direct Hire
Compensation: $26.00 – $29.00 per hour (based on experience) + Annual Bonus
Available Shifts: Monday – Friday, either:
- 4:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- OR
- 11:30 AM – 7:30 PM

PrideStaff is partnering with an internationally recognized luxury design brand and premier wallcoverings manufacturer based in Fairfield, NJ. Known for industry-leading craftsmanship, sustainable practices, and high-end design solutions for top architects and interior designers worldwide, our client is seeking a skilled Large Format Digital Print Operator to join their high-volume production team.

Key Responsibilities

Print Production & Setup: Operate digital roll-to-roll large-format print machinery, configure color servers/workstations, and execute print jobs according to strict color target specifications.
Workflow & Order Management: Review incoming color print orders, prioritize runs based on machine availability and turnaround times, and flag any delays or production bottlenecks immediately.
Quality Assurance & Color Accuracy: Conduct rigorous quality checks throughout the run to detect defects, banding, or color deviations early; leverage color theory and visual discrimination to hit exact targets.
Machine Diagnostics & Maintenance: Perform routine preventive care—including replacing filters, clearing waste containers, and replenishing inks/consumables—and escalate mechanical failures for specialist repair.
Finishing & Packaging: Safely handle, inspect, wrap, and stage finished goods (up to 54-inch rolls) for final client delivery.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: 2–3+ years of hands-on experience in large-format digital printing and finishing equipment (experience with EFI VUTEk printers is strongly preferred).
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of print media, color management, RIP software, and color theory.
Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift, load, and unload print media rolls measuring up to 54 inches and weighing approximately 50 lbs.
Work Style: Sharp eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the agility to balance speed with high aesthetic standards in a fast-paced setting.
Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills; collaborative team player who takes ownership of their workstation.
