Job Title: Machinist (mid-level & experienced)
Employee Type: Full Time, Hourly
Shifts Available:
Mon-Thurs; 5pm - 5:30am (2nd Shift)
Weekend: Fri-Sun; 5:30pm - 5am
PAY RATES: $22.00 - $28.00/hr - Dependent Upon Experience
SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL: (shift differential for 2nd shift & weekend schedules)
Reports to: Machining Manager
Job Location: Wichita, KS, USA
Job Duties:
- Machining large parts to customer specifications.
- Use precision instruments such as micrometers.
- Setup, adjust and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operations
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials onto machines
- Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs
- Set controls to regulate machining or enter commands to retrieve & input computerized machine control media
Requirements:
- CNC, Quickmill &/or Mag3 experience, preferred
- 3+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing environment, preferred
- Gantry style machining experience, preferred
- Experience with Fanuc controls & vacuum fixtures/skins, REQUIRED
- Ability to read, understand and follow step by step procedures
- Experience using/reading mechanical measuring tools
- Familiar with 5S manufacturing procedures
- Dependable, team-oriented, and good communication skills
- Trustworthy, honest and person of good character
- Follow Company Safety rules and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
- Excellent attendance and positive attitude is required
- Reliable Transportation required
- Must be a US citizen or current green card holder
Working Conditions:
- Some overtime may be necessary with or without notice
