Job Title: Associate Scientist – Biology II
Location: Foster City, CA 94404 | Onsite
Duration: 12-month contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday; occasional weekends as needed
Pay: $54.76/hr W2
Seeking an Upstream Bioprocess Associate to support cell culture and pilot-scale bioprocessing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Execute upstream cell culture processes using shake flasks, WAVE systems, and single-use bioreactors.
- Prepare media, buffers, and reagents; perform sampling, feeding, and run support.
- Maintain batch records, SOPs, run summaries, deviations, and other documentation.
- Troubleshoot process issues and support technology transfer and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- BS/BE in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on upstream cell culture or bioprocess experience.
- Pilot-scale, WAVE, single-use bioreactor, GMP, or technology-transfer experience preferred.
- Strong documentation, communication, safety, and data-integrity skills.
