On-Site EMT/Paramedic – Health & Safety Medical Technician (HSMT)

What You Will Do:
- Provide triage, first aid, and/or referral to an outside medical provider if indicated.
- Be calm in emergencies, assess situations, make sound decisions, and respond swiftly and appropriately, including providing first aid, CPR, and other emergency medical care within the scope of the position.
- Maintain medical records and medical records database for the site
- Maintain on-site inventory supplies, restock, and clean equipment used in the treatment of employees
- Communicate with outside medical providers on workers’ injury/healing progression and provide direct follow-up care with workers
- Provide daily activity logs to the safety team and management team
- Perform frequent “site walks” to interact with both workers and managers
- Help coordinate an annual, semi-annual, or quarterly on-site health fair
- Participate in frequent medical and safety awareness meetings with construction workers
What You Bring
- One year of full-time experience in 911 emergency medical response
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, navigate an active job site including stairs, and carry required medical equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Must also be physically capable of responding to medical emergencies, including providing CPR and assisting with or supporting the movement of an injured or incapacitated individual when necessary.
Education and Certification
- Valid National Registry or State EMT-B Certification.
- CPR certification (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer).
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910).
- Experience on large-scale construction sites.
- Knowledge of the workers’ compensation process.
- Instructor certification for First Aid, CPR, and AED training.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
