Acute CT Technologist

Job Summary

Performs computed tomography (CT) examinations for acute and emergency patients. Operates CT equipment, ensures accurate imaging, and maintains patient safety throughout procedures.

Education & Experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field (Required)
• Minimum 1 year of CT or acute care imaging experience (Preferred)

Licenses & Certifications
• ARRT certification (Required)
• CT certification/registry (Required or Preferred based on facility requirements)
• State radiologic technologist license, where applicable (Required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)

Key Responsibilities
• Performs CT examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Prepares and positions patients for accurate and safe imaging.
• Operates CT equipment and ensures high-quality diagnostic images.
• Administers contrast media as authorized and monitors patients for reactions.
• Responds promptly to urgent and emergency imaging requests.
• Maintains radiation safety, infection control, and patient care standards.
• Documents procedures accurately and maintains appropriate patient records.
