Job Description

Job Description Keep live sports on the air — every minute, every game

Picture this: a playoff game stretches past midnight, the control room is humming, and power delivery must be flawless. That’s when your expertise matters most. As a Critical Facilities Electrician, you’ll sustain the electrical backbone of a 24/7 broadcast and data center ecosystem where uptime isn’t a goal — it’s a mandate.

Where you’ll make an impact

Our client is a national leader in live sports broadcast production, supporting major networks such as Fox Sports, NBC Sports, Scripps Sports, and others. Our Mountain Media Center (MMC) is a 325,000 sq. ft. broadcast and data center campus operating 24/7, powering live production, master control, and mission‑critical technology systems. We’re expanding our Integrated Site Operations (ISO) team and seeking a licensed professional to maintain and enhance this complex power environment.

What you’ll do

  • Install, service, and repair electrical systems: feeders, branch circuits, panels, switchgear, and lighting across office, broadcast, and data center spaces.
  • Operate, support, and troubleshoot UPS systems, generators, and backup power architecture to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Run diagnostics (multimeters, continuity, voltage-drop) and interpret schematics to resolve faults efficiently.
  • Collaborate with BMS/controls teams to monitor power quality and performance; align with HVAC on VFDs, motor controls, and equipment power.
  • Execute tenant improvements and build-outs; coordinate with inspectors and contractors to keep projects compliant and on schedule.
  • Maintain life-safety circuits: fire alarm interfaces, emergency egress lighting, and access-control power.
  • Participate in rotating on-call duty to respond to after-hours incidents.
  • Document work meticulously: as-builts, load calcs, logs, and work orders.
  • Work to the letter of NEC/NFPA 70 and all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout and arc-flash procedures.

Required qualifications

  • Active Colorado Journeyman Electrician license or reciprocity eligibility (8,000+ supervised hours).
  • 4+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience.
  • Hands-on proficiency with panels, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and motor controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and as-built drawings.
  • Comfort supporting emergencies and rotating on-call coverage.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred

  • Background in a data center, broadcast facility, or other 24/7 mission‑critical setting.
  • Familiarity with BMS, access control, and fire alarm integration.
  • Experience mentoring apprentices.
  • Master Electrician license or actively pursuing one.

Physical demands

  • Stand, walk, kneel, bend, and climb for extended periods.
