Job Description
General Functions, Specific Responsibilities, and Authority:
- Routine laboratory maintenance, propagating bacterial cultures, preparation of general laboratory duties such as preparing media and reagents, labeling plates and tube, and re-stocking supplies.
- Works within established SOPs and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines.
- Maintains adequate inventory control of media and reagents as required for laboratory operations.
- Assists in the qualification and validation of equipment and lab instruments including calibration.
- Responsible for maintaining laboratory notebooks and ensuring all documentation is performed under GDP guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Education, and Skills Required:
- BS degree in Microbiology/Biological Sciences/Chemistry with related science experience
- 1-2 years of laboratory experience
Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is between $27.00-$29.00 per hour.
