JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Coordinator will support marketing operations, marketing event coordination, project management, and communications initiatives across the organization. He/She/They will work closely with multiple members of the Marketing team to help keep projects organized, campaigns moving, and event marketing moving smoothly. Will work cross-functionally to understand and help deliver the marketing plan for Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta.
As a member of the Marketing and Communications Department, the Marketing Coordinator reports to the Director of Product Marketing. He/She/They must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy managing multiple projects as once. Must enjoy working in a collaborative, high-pressure, fast-paced, and deadline-oriented environment. This position requires balancing administrative coordination with creative and operational marketing support. Must be proactive and collaborative, while able to work effectively across teams while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports the development of internal and external marketing campaigns and projects for Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta Council
- Leads marketing event coordination, brand partnerships, and special projects
- Works with the Marketing Department to create and maintain communications and production calendars and project timelines
- Supports the creation and production of print and digital collateral, including direct mail, brochures, donor materials, and other pieces by working with graphic or web designers and printers
- Monitors progress to goals and objectives through regular status reporting
- Develops strong relationships with the Girl Scout network and key partners
- Executes additional duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- 2-3 years of successful marketing and communications experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, Journalism, or related field
- Experience in the project management process from concept through execution
- Strong research skills
- Uses marketing and communications best practices to solve difficult problems in imaginative ways
- Excellent oral and presentation communication skills
- Strong writing skills, able to quickly create content in multiple styles for print or digital media, including articles, collateral, video scripts, interviews, and more. Experience in donor-centric and/or non-profit writing is a plus
- Design (Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva) and video production knowledge a plus
- Strong organizational, proofreading, and editing skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Advanced computer skills and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products—including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as proficient Internet research skills
- Ability to function with limited supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Experienced in branding collateral development
- Excellent time-management skills
- Should have a good understanding of the creative process and be able to work well with a creative/graphics team
- Must be comfortable working with youth, volunteers, and parents
- Collaborative work style
- Unquestionable ethics and integrity
- Must have a strong portfolio that demonstrates experience
- 10% travel within the 34 County Service Area
- Spanish language fluency a plus
- Must be comfortable working on call during nights and evenings, and working some evenings and weekends
- Agency and/or non-profit experience a plus
Must successfully complete an MVR, credit, and criminal background check
