Gylee Games is an independent game studio based in Cincinnati, Ohio. We’re developing an unannounced digital collectible card game, and we’re looking for a Community Manager to help build an engaged, welcoming community from the ground up.
\n
If you love card games, enjoy getting players talking, and know how to turn feedback into something a development team can use, we’d love to meet you.
\n

The Role
\n
\n
You’ll be the connection between our players and our team. You’ll help establish our community before launch, welcome new players, keep conversations moving, and give players a reason to stick around.
\n
This is a hands-on role with room to shape our community’s voice, programs, and culture. You’ll work closely with marketing, content creation, and development to keep players informed and bring their perspectives into the studio.
\n

What You’ll Do
\n
- \n
- Build and manage our community across Discord, social channels, and relevant player forums.
- Set up and maintain Discord channels, roles, bots, onboarding, and moderation tools.
- Create community guidelines and moderation processes that support a welcoming, respectful environment.
- Start conversations around card strategy, deckbuilding, game updates, and player creations.
- Plan and run community events, developer Q&As, playtests, challenges, and eventually tournaments.
- Write community announcements, updates, FAQs, and player-facing explanations in a consistent voice.
- Partner with our content creator and marketing team on campaigns, reveals, and community-driven content.
- Collect and organize player feedback, separating recurring issues from isolated reactions and sharing actionable summaries with the development team.
- Help players report bugs and find answers, coordinating with development and support when issues need escalation.
- Build relationships with community leaders, moderators, and card game creators.
- Track community growth, participation, retention, and sentiment to understand what’s working.
- Handle difficult conversations with empathy, sound judgment, and clear boundaries.
