Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified Fork Lift Trainer / Safety Training Coordinator for a direct hire opportunity in Carson, CA. This role is ideal for a hands-on safety professional who enjoys training employees, improving workplace safety, and supporting OSHA compliance across warehouse, distribution, transportation, operational, and construction-related environments.
This position offers the opportunity to make a visible impact by helping employees work safely, confidently, and consistently. The right candidate will be a trusted safety resource for employees, supervisors, Human Resources, and management across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine safety inspections, operational audits, and hazard assessments to support OSHA compliance and company safety standards.
- Deliver new-hire safety orientations, ongoing safety training, and hands-on forklift and equipment safety instruction.
- Train light-truck drivers on safe loading, load securement, tie-down procedures, and proper equipment operation.
- Partner with Human Resources and management to document, investigate, and follow up on workplace incidents, accidents, and safety concerns.
- Recommend corrective actions, coach employees and supervisors, and reinforce safe work practices in a constructive manner.
- Maintain accurate safety records, training documentation, inspection reports, and compliance-related files.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 annually.
- Employment Type: Direct Hire.
- Location: Carson, CA.
- Workplace Type: In-office, with travel to company locations as required.
