Step into a rewarding opportunity shaping young minds as a Special Education Teacher at the elementary level (K-2). This full-time, onsite contract role offers two openings and provides the chance to make a real difference in an engaging and supportive school environment.
You’ll play a key role in developing and delivering lesson plans tailored to diverse student needs, drawing on your expertise in classroom and behavioral management. The position runs 35 hours per week from now until June 10, 2027, working exclusively onsite between 8:30AM–4PM. As you help students achieve their greatest potential, you’ll benefit from a professional setting that values educational innovation and student-centered learning.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Current and active Special Education certification/licensure for relevant caseload
- Bachelor’s degree required (to qualify for emergency teaching permit)
- Prior successful experience in a school setting—preferably in an urban environment
- Demonstrated mastery of subject matter, instructional methods, classroom management, and behavioral supports
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans, aligned with state and district standards, using formative assessment and differentiation
- Must be comfortable with the district and location; flexible adaptation to its needs
- Reliable transportation is required
- Must complete all necessary PA clearances prior to start
- Ability to work onsite with no work schedule accommodations (8:30AM–4PM)
- Familiarity with resource materials and technology to enhance learning
