Job Description\n
The Cat Scan Technologist will perform computer tomography procedures and related techniques, producing sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation. The role includes assisting with interventional and therapeutic procedures, ensuring detailed patient histories are documented, and verifying insurance authorization for exams.
Responsibilities\n

- Perform complex CT procedures with professional judgment.
- Prepare and review the accuracy of contrast questionnaires and document in EPIC.
- Administer contrast media and clarify prescriptions with Radiologists and Referring Physicians as needed.
- Verify insurance authorization and handle outside studies for PACS availability.
- Provide patients with copies of their exams and manage documentation of patient concerns.
- Evaluate radiographs for diagnostic value using PACS systems.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures, including preparing patients and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Participate in departmental duties and scheduling, including weekend and holiday shifts as necessary.

Required Experience\n

- Two years of radiologic technology or CT experience required.
- ARRT (CT) certification to be achieved within twelve months of hire.

Certifications/Licensure\n

- New Jersey DEP Diagnostic Radiography License required.
- ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license required.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within three months of hire.
- ARRT Certified R.T. (CT) license preferred.
