Take on a rewarding full-time contract role supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic elementary school setting. The assignment runs from your start date through June 10, 2027, offering stability and the chance to be a key part of a dedicated school community.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active Special Education teacher certification/licensure for relevant caseload required
- Completed bachelor’s degree; necessary for those seeking an emergency teaching permit
- Demonstrated subject mastery and strong instructional skills
- Previous experience in a school environment, preferably in urban settings
- Proven classroom and behavioral management expertise
- Well-versed in developing lesson plans aligned with state and district standards
- Ability to utilize formative assessments and differentiation techniques
- Comfortable working onsite between 8:30AM–4:00PM (no accommodations for schedules)
- Capable of completing all required Pennsylvania clearances
- Must have reliable transportation
- At ease working within collaborative school environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to meet individual student needs
- Create and implement lesson plans following state and district standards
- Foster an inclusive, well-managed classroom that promotes student growth
- Collaborate with staff on effective instructional strategies and interventions
- Monitor and report on student progress
- Participate in professional development and faculty meetings as required
- Communicate effectively with families and colleagues
Additional Details:
- Full-time, 35 hours per week
- Zoom interviews for candidate convenience
- Onsite at Main Street Elementary
