Visual Content Specialist

Department: Marketing

Reports To: Director of Marketing & Communications

\n

Temp-to-hire / On-site in San Diego, CA / 40 hrs per week

\n

Salary: $80k - $100k ($40-$50 per hour)

\n


\n

The Visual Content Specialist is a creative self-starter who brings stories to life through visual content.

\n


\n

You'll support both internal and external communications by developing, producing, designing, and editing multimedia content that strengthens the organization's employment brand and consumer brand.

\n


\n

This role spans video, photography, digital, and print — to create compelling, on-brand content across all channels.

\n


\n

Key Responsibilities

\n


\n

Content Creation & Production

\n

    \n
  • Execute visual components of the content strategy through photography, design, and video
  • \n

  • Shoot, design, produce, and edit professional visual content using industry-standard tools
  • \n

  • Apply photography and videography skills to support marketing, corporate initiatives, training, recruitment, benefits, and other communications needs
  • \n

  • Attend events to capture photo and video content for social media, and take professional headshots of team members
  • \n

Brand & Collaboration

\n

    \n
  • Follow art and content direction to ensure all visual messaging is accurate, timely, persuasive, and on-brand
  • \n

  • Maintain consistent brand voice and visual style across all mediums
  • \n

  • Partner closely with the Marketing & Communications Specialist and Graphic Designer to produce cohesive materials
  • \n

  • Work with team members to capture lifestyle photos and interview videos that represent company culture and core values
  • \n

  • Asset & Equipment Management
  • \n

  • Build and maintain a library of visual assets for internal and external use.
  • \n

  • Maintain organized file naming, tagging, and folder structure for all assets.
  • \n

  • Ensure attention to detail in all content: proper branding, framing, and quality control.
  • \n

  • Maintain and coordinate care of photography, videography, drone, and audio equipment.
  • \n

Requirements

\n

    \n
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
  • \n

  • Coursework or certification in design, photography, or related field a plus
  • \n

\n


\n

Experience

\n

    \n
  • 5+ years of professional videography and photography experience
  • \n

  • Drone experience
  • \n

  • Experience with visual asset management systems is a plus
  • \n

\n


\n

Technical Skills

\n

    \n
  • Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop and Lightroom
  • \n

  • Video editing: Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
  • \n

  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • \n

  • PDF software programs
  • \n

  • Knowledge of social media platforms and best practices
  • \n

\n

Physical Requirements & Travel

\n

  • Ability to lift and carry audio-visual equipment up to 30 lbs
  • \n

  • Willingness to travel within the US to complete job assignments: 30-50%
  • \n

This is a temp-to-hire position working 40 hours a week onsite in San Diego, CA.

\n
