Smoke shop manager & part time associate needed. You would handle sales, educate customers, keep the store clean and stocked, and create a welcoming vibe for regulars and new customers.
Responsibilities:
• Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with customers
• Operate POS system - cash handling, credit transactions, accurate cash-outs
• Deep product knowledge: Recommend products including vapes, e-juice, disposables, glass, water pipes, wraps, rolling papers, hookah, tobacco and accessories
• Stay current on new products, brands, and industry trends
• Stock, organize, and merchandise inventory - receiving shipments and checking in product
• Maintain store cleanliness: clean glass cases, counters, floors, and displays
• Verify ID for all age-restricted sales and follow all Illinois tobacco / vape compliance laws
• Open and/or close the store when scheduled on time.
Requirements - Must Have:
• MUST be 21+ years old - No exceptions (Required by law to sell tobacco/vape products)
• 1+ year experience working in a smoke shop, vape shop, or dispensary - OR extensive personal knowledge of smoke culture
• Knowledge of: Mods, pods, disposables, 510 batteries, glass styles, bangers, carb caps, torch types, etc.
• Comfortable handling high-volume sales and working on your feet
• Reliable transportation and EXCELLENT attendance
• Strong math and cash handling skills
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
