Shift: Evening Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 5x8s | 42.5 Hours/Week | Holidays Required | No On-Call

Pay Rate
Local: $78.00 - $81.00/hour
Traveler: $80.00 - $85.00/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CT Scan Technologist to perform complex CT and X-Ray procedures in a high-volume Emergency Department while maintaining image quality, patient safety, and efficient workflow.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of CT experience; 5 years preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
  • Active NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License
  • ARRT R.T.(R) certification
  • ARRT R.T.(CT) certification preferred; must obtain within 12 months of hire
  • AHA BLS certification
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, CT hardware, software, and scanning protocols
  • PACS knowledge
  • Epic EMR experience
  • Fuji PACS experience
  • GE CT equipment experience
  • Experience with contrast administration, venipuncture, and IV maintenance
  • Ability to work in dual modalities, including CT and X-Ray
  • Strong communication and patient-care skills
  • English proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of CT experience
  • ARRT R.T.(CT) certification

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex CT procedures and produce diagnostic sectional and 3D images
  • Review clinical history and determine appropriate CT protocols
  • Verify examination prescriptions and clarify orders when necessary
  • Prepare and document contrast questionnaires in Epic
  • Administer contrast media according to established protocols
  • Perform venipuncture and maintain IV patency
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions
  • Prepare and position patients for CT examinations
  • Review images in PACS for identification, quality, and diagnostic value
  • Coordinate outside imaging studies for comparison
  • Maintain accurate Epic and PACS documentation
  • Perform CT and X-Ray duties under dual-modality assignments
  • Maintain equipment and report technical issues
  • Follow radiation safety, infection prevention, HIPAA, and patient-safety standards
