Job Description

Job Description

About us

United Retirement Advisor Group is a retirement planning firm in Wayne, PA. We help people approaching and in retirement make confident decisions about income, taxes, Social Security and their savings. Most of our new clients come to us in two ways: through our events (more than 40 a year, including educational workshops, monthly classes at our office and client appreciation events) and through introductions from clients who trust us.

The role

You'll lead the client experience at URAG. That means owning our events from the first invitation to the follow-up meeting, running our client referral and recognition program, and growing how people find us online. This is a people job, an organization job and a marketing job. It's built for someone who loves using technology, including AI tools, to work smarter, and who wants to own results rather than wait for direction.

What You'll Do

Lead our client referral and recognition program

  • Own our client referral program from start to finish: the yearly referral drawing, client milestone recognition, and the awards ceremony at our Holiday Party
  • Make the program a success. Set the plan, keep clients hearing about it all year, and track how it's working
  • Track every referral in our CRM (Redtail) so each introduction is recorded and each referring client is thanked promptly
  • Partner with our Director of First Impressions (front desk) and the firm's owner to keep the program running, and lead that work: you set the plan, and they help carry it out
  • Coordinate prizes, awards, badges and recognition moments at our events
  • Follow our compliance requirements for referral programs, working with our in-house attorney on rules, disclosures and records

Run our events (about 40 a year)

  • Plan and coordinate 24 educational workshops, a monthly educational event at our office, and 4 client appreciation events each year
  • Manage invitations, RSVPs, reminder calls and emails, venues, food and supplies
  • Handle check-in and day-of logistics so the advisors can focus on guests

Grow our online presence

  • Keep our website current: every event listed with its date, location and RSVP link, and every page accurate
  • Make sure our website and online content follow SEO best practices so people searching for retirement help in our area can find us
  • Build our social media presence on Facebook and Instagram, and help us decide where to start
  • Help launch and manage paid ads on Facebook and Instagram (Meta), including tracking results and cost per lead
  • Help find, hire and manage outside vendors for services like web design, ads, video and printing, and keep projects on time and on budget
  • Route all public content through our compliance review before it's posted

Turn guests into relationships

  • Follow up with every guest after each event and help schedule next meetings with our advisors
  • Make outbound calls to prospects and clients to keep conversations moving
  • Keep our CRM (Redtail) accurate: every contact labeled correctly and every touch logged

Make people feel cared for

  • Send gifts, birthday cards and handwritten notes, including for life events like births, illness and loss
  • Coordinate client appreciation touches throughout the year

Be our AI and tech champion

  • Use AI tools (we use Claude) every day to draft invitations, reminders, follow-ups and social posts, organize lists, and save time
  • Help teammates use our tools and systems, and troubleshoot everyday tech like Zoom, scheduling links and office equipment

What we're looking for

  • 3 to 5 years in marketing, event management, client experience or a similar role, including time owning a program or project from start to finish
  • A self-starter who takes ownership of a program and drives it to results, and is comfortable leading teammates who help with it
  • Warm and confident on the phone, and comfortable talking with people in their 60s and 70s
  • Highly organized, with strong follow-through and no need for reminders
  • Hands-on experience with social media for a business, and familiarity with website updates (WordPress or similar), SEO basics, or Meta ads. You don't need to be an expert in all of them, but you should be eager to learn them
  • Genuinely excited about technology and AI, and already using AI tools in your work or personal life
  • Comfortable with CRMs, spreadsheets and online scheduling tools
  • Available for some evening events (about 2 to 3 a month)
  • Financial services experience is a plus, not required

Why join us

  • Work that matters. People come to us worried about running out of money in retirement and leave with a plan. You'll see that happen at every event.
  • Real ownership. You'll lead our referral program and our online presence, not just support them. Your results will be visible and they'll matter.
  • No two weeks are the same. Workshops, classes at our office, client parties and marketing projects, not eight hours at a desk.
  • Learn AI on the job. We use Claude, Notion and Redtail every day. You'll build skills most offices don't have yet, and they go with you anywhere.
  • Shape how we work. We're rebuilding our systems right now, and your ideas will be part of how things get done here.
  • Grow with us. As the firm grows, so does this role.
  • A small team where you're seen. You'll work directly with the owner, and your work won't get lost.
  • Benefits that reward results. PTO, paid holidays, a 401(k), a health stipend, KPI bonuses and profit sharing.
  • How to apply!!

Send your resume and a few sentences answering both of these:

  1. Tell us about a time you used an AI tool to save time or do something better, at work or at home.
  2. Tell us about a program, event or social media account you were responsible for, and how you knew it was working.
