OVERVIEW:
Terraforma Church, located in Ashburn, VA, is seeking a passionate Youth Pastor/Youth Director to lead and nurture our youth ministry. We are a non-denominational, inclusive and centered-set church with a family-sized congregation of approx 150 people. Our church is committed to being known for love, being present in our community, being dedicated to service, and being a place where anyone is welcome to heal and experience the love of God. As Youth Pastor/Youth Director, you will play a vital role in helping our youth grow closer to God while developing a team of adults who will care for and disciple them.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and lead dynamic youth ministry programs that engage students and encourage spiritual growth.
- Build meaningful relationships with youth and their families, providing mentorship and guidance.
- Plan and coordinate regular youth group meetings, events, retreats, and service opportunities.
- Recruit, train, and equip volunteers to support the youth ministry effectively.
- Collaborate with church leadership and other ministry teams to align youth ministry goals with the overall vision of Terraforma Church.
- Communicate regularly with parents and church community through multiple channels.
- Foster an inclusive and accessible environment that welcomes youth from diverse backgrounds and faith stages.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in youth ministry strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Passion for working with youth and helping them grow in their faith.
- Ability to create engaging programs that are relevant to today’s youth culture.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Terraforma Church.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
