The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, consultative, and comfortable recruiting across a broad range of roles in a fast-paced electrical construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for APG Electric across all levels of the organization, including trade and craft, field operations, project support, office-based professional, management, and leadership roles; responsibilities include intake, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, candidate assessment, offer development, pre-employment activities, and handoff to onboarding.
  • Recruit electrical trade and craft talent as well as positions supporting project delivery, estimating, engineering, safety, operations, administration, and leadership.
  • Partner with APG Electric leaders and hiring managers to understand business plans, project schedules, workforce needs, position requirements, succession considerations, and hiring timelines.
  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies tailored to electrical construction labor markets and APG Electric's professional and leadership needs, including recurring, high-volume, specialized, and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Source active and passive candidates through job boards, social media, resume databases, apprenticeship programs, trade and technical schools, community partnerships, professional networks, career fairs, employee referrals, and direct outreach.
  • Conduct structured candidate screens and assessments, provide clear recommendations to hiring managers, and support consistent, timely selection decisions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely candidate and requisition activity in the applicant tracking system and use recruiting data to communicate progress, identify bottlenecks, and respond to changing project and business demands.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for recurring APG Electric needs, including electricians, forepersons, superintendents, project managers, estimators, engineers, safety professionals, operational support, and leadership roles.
  • Represent APG Electric and Kelso Industries in the employment market while delivering a responsive, professional candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Operate as APG Electric's dedicated recruiting partner while actively collaborating with the larger Kelso Talent Acquisition team and supporting consistent recruiting practices, tools, and processes.
  • Ensure recruiting and selection practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and recordkeeping requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead recruiting intake discussions, translate project and business needs into recruiting plans, assess candidates at multiple organizational levels, and advise hiring managers throughout the selection process.
  • Proven ability to source active and passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, resume databases, apprenticeship programs, trade and technical school partnerships, professional and community relationships, referrals, and other recruiting tools.
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system to manage requisitions, candidate activity, communications, and reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, judgment, organization, and relationship-building skills.
