The Role:

We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented Associate, Data Analytics to join our growing investment platform.
\n

You will sit at the intersection of investments, data operations, royalties, and due diligence, helping HarbourView evaluate music catalogs and intellectual property assets for acquisition. This role is critical to the underwriting process and transforming complex royalty statements and fragmented datasets into investment-grade intelligence.

What you will do:

Investment Pipeline Operations
\n

- Review incoming catalog datarooms and seller materials to assess data quality, completeness, and readiness for underwriting.
- Manage the ingestion workflow from initial receipt through final analytical outputs, ensuring data is organized, documented, and delivered on time.
- Coordinate with advisors, sellers, and internal stakeholders to resolve data issues, request missing information, and track active diligence items.
- Maintain operational organization throughout the deal lifecycle, including workflow tracking, documentation, and status updates.

Data & Royalty Analytics
\n

- Ingest, standardize, and validate music royalty statements across a variety of payors, formats, and reporting structures.
- Perform QA and reconciliation procedures to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze earnings trends, title performance, concentration risk, payor exposure, territory exposure, and other key catalog characteristics.
- Generate reports and supporting schedules used in underwriting, diligence, and investment committee discussions.

Investment Support
\n

- Support investment professionals during the evaluation of prospective acquisitions.
- Identify anomalies, risks, and opportunities within catalog datasets.
- Assist in preparing pre-screen analyses and ad hoc diligence requests.
- Conduct research and analysis on artists, catalogs, music rights, royalty streams, and industry trends.

Process Improvement
\n
Contribute to the development and refinement of ingestion workflows, reporting tools, QA procedures, and operational best practices.

You:
\n
\n
Skills Required
\n
5+ years of experience in Transaction Advisory, Financial Due Diligence, Valuation, Investment Banking, Asset Management, Data Analytics, Royalty Accounting, Consulting, or a similar analytical environment.
\n

- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Skills Preferred

- SQL, Python or other analytical tools.
- Experience with business intelligence tools – Google Suite preferred.
- Experience working with financial, royalty, transaction, or operational datasets.

- Experience supporting diligence, underwriting, or investment processes.
