Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

\n

Position Summary

\n

The Mission Advancement Manager is responsible for advancing the mission of Culture of Life Family Services by growing community engagement, donor support, educational outreach, strategic partnerships, and public awareness. This position serves as COLFS's primary ambassador to donors, churches, schools, diocesan organizations, pro-life groups, community partners, and supporters throughout the region.

The Mission Advancement Manager leads fundraising initiatives, donor stewardship, communications, public relations, community partnerships, educational outreach, and culture-of-life initiatives designed to expand the reach and impact of COLFS. The position is responsible for building relationships that increase financial support, strengthen community engagement, and promote respect for the dignity of every human life.

Essential Responsibilities

\n

Donor Development & Stewardship

\n

    \n
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective donors.
  • \n

  • Coordinate donor cultivation, donor recognition, and stewardship activities.
  • \n

  • Ensure timely acknowledgment of gifts through thank-you letters, email communications, and personal follow-up.
  • \n

  • Work with leadership to identify, cultivate, and steward major donor relationships.
  • \n

  • Maintain donor communication plans and stewardship strategies.
  • \n

  • Track donor engagement activities and ensure accurate donor records.
  • \n

\n

Fundraising Campaigns & Appeals

\n

  • Plan and execute annual fundraising campaigns, direct mail appeals, online giving campaigns, and seasonal fundraising efforts.
  • \n

  • Coordinate annual giving activities, matching gift campaigns, and special fundraising initiatives.
  • \n

  • Assist with sponsorship development and corporate partnerships.
  • \n

  • Monitor fundraising results and provide regular performance reports.
  • \n

  • Support grant-related communications and donor reporting as requested.
  • \n

Donor & Donation Management

\n

    \n
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of donor records and donor management systems.
  • \n

  • Oversee donation tracking and gift acknowledgment processes.
  • \n

  • Ensure accurate entry and reconciliation of donations.
  • \n

  • Generate donor, campaign, and fundraising reports for organizational leadership and Board review.
  • \n

  • Implement best practices for donor stewardship and data management.
  • \n

\n

Communications & Public Relations

\n

    \n
  • Manage organizational communications designed to increase awareness, engagement, and donor support.
  • \n

  • Coordinate newsletters, email campaigns, donor communications, impact reports, annual reports, and fundraising materials.
  • \n

  • Oversee website content and communication updates.
  • \n

  • Manage social media communications and public awareness campaigns.
  • \n

  • Draft press releases and coordinate media opportunities.
  • \n

  • Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all public communications.
  • \n

Fundraising Events

\n

    \n
  • Coordinate the annual Gala and other fundraising events.
  • \n

  • Manage event logistics, sponsorships, registrations, volunteer coordination, donor communications, and follow-up activities.
  • \n

  • Coordinate third-party fundraising activities conducted by parishes, schools, businesses, and community organizations.
  • \n

  • Track event performance and outcomes.
  • \n

Mission Education & Culture of Life Initiatives

\n

    \n
  • Develop and expand educational programs that promote a culture of life throughout the community.
  • \n

  • Coordinate educational outreach efforts with schools, churches, youth groups, colleges, and community organizations.
  • \n

  • Recruit, train, and coordinate speakers for presentations and educational events.
  • \n

  • Expand opportunities for COLFS staff and volunteers to educate the public on mission-related topics.
  • \n

  • Develop educational materials that advance understanding of life issues and the services provided by COLFS.
  • \n

  • Promote awareness of life-affirming healthcare, pregnancy support services, and family support programs.
  • \n

\n

Pro-Life Clubs & Youth Engagement

\n

    \n
  • Support the development and growth of pro-life clubs in Catholic schools, public schools, colleges, and parish communities.
  • \n

  • Develop relationships with student leaders, faculty advisors, youth ministers, and school administrators.
  • \n

  • Provide resources, speakers, educational materials, and organizational support for student groups.
  • \n

  • Identify opportunities to engage youth and young adults in the mission of COLFS.
  • \n

  • Foster future pro-life leadership through education and community involvement.
  • \n

\n

Church, Diocese & Community Relations

\n

    \n
  • Serve as the primary liaison between COLFS and Catholic parishes, diocesan offices, schools, ministries, and church leadership.
  • \n

  • Develop strong partnerships with pastors, parish staff, Respect Life ministries, Knights of Columbus councils, and Catholic organizations.
  • \n

  • Coordinate parish outreach initiatives including speakers, educational events, baby bottle drives, and awareness campaigns.
  • \n

  • Collaborate with the Diocese and affiliated ministries on opportunities that advance the culture of life.
  • \n

  • Represent COLFS at diocesan gatherings, conferences, parish events, and community functions.
  • \n

\n

Pro-Life Organization & Strategic Partnerships

\n

    \n
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with local and national pro-life organizations.
  • \n

  • Develop partnerships with pregnancy resource centers, healthcare providers, educational institutions, and community organizations.
  • \n

  • Identify opportunities for collaborative programs, outreach campaigns, educational initiatives, and fundraising efforts.
  • \n

  • Strengthen COLFS's visibility and leadership role within the pro-life community.
  • \n

  • Serve as a community ambassador for COLFS and its mission.
  • \n

\n

Strategic Planning & Organizational Support

\n

    \n
  • Support organizational strategic goals related to growth, fundraising, education, outreach, and community engagement.
  • \n

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and updates for leadership and Board review.
  • \n

  • Contribute content and metrics for annual reports and strategic planning efforts.
  • \n

  • Recommend opportunities to strengthen donor engagement, communications, outreach, and mission impact.
  • \n

Qualifications

\n

Required

\n

    \n
  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, business, public relations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • \n

  • Three or more years of experience in fundraising, communications, public relations, community engagement, ministry leadership, nonprofit management, or related fields.
  • \n

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • \n

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with donors, community leaders, clergy, educators, and volunteers.
  • \n

  • Experience coordinating projects, events, outreach initiatives, or fundraising activities.
  • \n

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • \n

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and donor management or CRM systems.
  • \n

Preferred

\n

    \n
  • Experience within a Catholic, faith-based, healthcare, educational, or nonprofit organization.
  • \n

  • Experience with donor management systems such as Bloomerang, eTapestry, Raiser's Edge, or similar platforms.
  • \n

  • Experience working with Catholic schools, diocesan structures, parish ministries, or pro-life organizations.
  • \n

  • Experience managing websites, email marketing platforms, and social media communications.
  • \n
