A pharmacy professional is needed to manage and oversee daily operations within a retail pharmacy setting. This role focuses on ensuring accurate, compliant prescription fulfillment, patient safety, and effective medication management. The pharmacist supervises fulfillment staff, participates in handling prescription shipping as necessary, and ensures that prescriptions are processed according to prescriber and patient requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise fulfillment personnel and ensure smooth operations during shifts.
- Participate in shipping and handling of prescription orders when needed.
- Process prescription orders accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Verify proper technique, preparation, documentation, and legal compliance for dispensed pharmaceuticals.
- Assess patient demographics and review medication histories to maintain accurate patient profiles.
- Develop and implement patient care plans aimed at achieving therapeutic outcomes and monitor patient progress.
- Educate and counsel patients on prescription and over-the-counter medications, nutritional supplements, and evaluate drug therapy for appropriateness, interactions, and duplications.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of retail pharmacy experience, demonstrating solid knowledge in pharmaceutical operations and patient interaction.
Location & Schedule:
- Position based in Media, PA.
- Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM.
