Job Summary (List Format):
\n - Coordinates and performs CT scanning procedures using complex computerized equipment for diagnostic purposes.
\n - Prepares and positions patients safely, applying immobilization devices as needed and ensuring proper identification.
\n - Obtains patient medical history and allergy information relevant to procedures.
\n - Prepares and administers contrast media intravenously as required, following radiologist protocols.
\n - Produces, develops, and archives images for permanent records; manages electronic/digital image capture, storage, and transfer.
\n - Organizes daily patient schedules in collaboration with other staff.
\n - Maintains high image quality and performs daily equipment calibration and quality control.
\n - Monitors patients for allergic reactions to contrast and assists in emergencies, including providing basic CPR.
\n - Ensures compliance with safety standards and regulations for radiation protection.
\n - Maintains cleanliness of work area and ensures adequate supply inventory.
\n - Instructs and orients new personnel as needed.
\n - Assists radiologists and physicians with specialized radiological procedures.
\n - Reviews and records patient history to aid in diagnostic processes.
\n - Maintains professional registry in compliance with regulatory requirements.
\n - Participates in quality assessment and improvement initiatives within the department.
\n - Required Experience: Minimum 2 years CT experience, Philips equipment experience, ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's).
\n - Preferred Experience: Travel/contract CT technologist experience.
\n - Certification Requirements: ARRT and BLS certification.
\n - Work Environment: 288-bed tertiary hospital, navy blue scrubs, Cerner EMR system.
\n - Additional Requirements: Adherence to hospital and department policies, especially for local travelers and compliance documentation.

Med Ninjas Job ID #18120. Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
